Gerald Boh is an experienced psychologist with a diverse professional background spanning psychology, counselling, clinical supervision, education, coaching, and sport science. He is a Registered Psychologist and Approved Supervisor with the Singapore Register of Psychologists under the Singapore Psychological Society. He is also a Registered Counsellor and Registered Clinical Supervisor with the Singapore Association for Counselling.


Gerald has undertaken professional training and certification in Choice Theory and Reality Therapy (William Glasser Institute), Ericksonian Psychotherapy (Milton H. Erickson Foundation), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (Association for Contextual Behavioural Science), Psychiatric Rehabilitation (Association for Psychiatric Rehabilitation), mind-body interventions, and Clinical Supervision. 


Throughout his career, Gerald has accumulated extensive clinical experience across private practice, healthcare, special needs, education, and social service settings. He works with individuals across the lifespan, as well as couples and families, supporting them with a broad range of mental health, relationship, workplace, developmental, special needs, psychiatric, and psychosocial concerns. He collaborates closely with families, educators, medical professionals, and allied health professionals to provide coordinated and holistic support tailored to the needs of each individual.


His therapeutic approach is integrative and evidence-informed. Depending on the needs of each client, couple, or family, Gerald draws from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Reality Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Applied Behaviour Analysis, executive function skills coaching, mindfulness, and other experiential mind-body interventions to help clients cope more effectively with their circumstances and work towards meaningful change.


Building on his background in sport and exercise science, Gerald also provides **mental skills and peak performance coaching** to athletes, leaders, professionals, and corporate clients seeking to strengthen their resilience, motivation, mental skills, and personal effectiveness. He incorporates experiential approaches such as **Walk & Talk Therapy**, integrating therapeutic conversations with movement, exercise, and physical activity to strengthen resilience and empower clients to work towards their personal and life goals.


Gerald's commitment to his clients was recognised through the ICARE Award for three consecutive years from 2021 to 2023, reflecting the positive impact of his work.


He was also selected to serve as a Council Member of the Global Inclusion Council, contributing to efforts to promote inclusion and advance mental health equity on a global scale.


Gerald has a particular interest in research relating to depression, anxiety, and insomnia. His research was recognised with an award at the Singapore Health & Biomedical Congress in 2012, reflecting his longstanding commitment to advancing the understanding and treatment of mental health concerns.


As an educator and clinical supervisor, Gerald lectures and provides supervision in the areas of Psychology, Mental Health, Counselling, Disability, Exercise Science, Education, and related fields across universities and private educational institutions. He also presents his work at professional conferences and contributes to the professional development of doctors, medical professionals, psychologists, counsellors, psychotherapists, and special needs practitioners through training and clinical supervision. His supervision supports practitioners in developing professional competencies, delivering high-quality psychosocial care, and preparing for professional registration.


Gerald lives by the motto, "While we live, we learn." This philosophy guides his commitment to lifelong learning and to helping individuals develop their strengths, enhance their well-being, realise their potential, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
